This scarf is an addition to a garment originally designed as part of our 'Fashion & Architecture | A Seamless Relationship' capsule collection, unveiled at the esteemed MASP Awards held in April 2023.

This piece features an original print that draws inspiration from the serene and peaceful atmosphere of Dar il-Ħanin Samaritan's meditation garden, designed by visionary architect Richard England in 2014.

As you step into this carefully curated space, you disconnect from the outside world, finding yourself immersed in a sanctuary of prayer and solace. The garden's unique architectural elements, enhanced by vibrant colours, play of light and shadow, and elegantly featured water elements, create an unforgettable experience mirroring the journey through life – from birth to life beyond death.

Reflecting the interplay of colours and forms in perspective, the design of this scarf embodies the dynamic energy of the garden, as depicted through the first part of the journey. The vibrant tones shift to grey, red, and white tones, which gradually evolve as one approaches the end of the central passageway, evoking feelings of melancholy and nostalgia associated with aging and the passage towards death. The stairway element featured on the print is also a prominent symbol in this section of the garden, symbolising a sense of hope for life after death.
